St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation Board Announces Officers

February 21, 2012 -- St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce officers for 2012: Judy Lair, Chair; Paul Sutherland, Vice-Chair and Treasurer and Patty Holl, Secretary.

“We are fortunate to have this slate of officers on our Board,” said Meshelle Colvin, executive director of the St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation. “Their knowledge and expertise will be helpful as we enter an exciting time for the Foundation and the Hospital.”

Judy Lair, chair, has served as president of the St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary and as an officer on the NC Hospital Volunteers Board. Married to Dr. Bob Lair, she retired from the state of NC where she worked as a probation/parole officer, managed the I-26 welcome center and supervised child support enforcement. Originally from Virginia, Lair is active in her church and with the St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteers in the St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, as a Cherry Smock and in the Outpatient Surgery Department. She enjoys spending time with her family - three children and six grandchildren.

Paul Sutherland, a Board member since January 2011, will serve as vice chair and treasurer. Patricia Murphy Holl, also a Board member since January 2011, will serve as secretary.

The St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization established in 1991 to support one of our community's most valuable assets, St. Luke's Hospital. It is made up of citizens who have joined together to raise funds for new equipment, facility improvements, educational programs, and the Foundation's endowment.

A gift to the Foundation is tax deductible. Donations are always needed and appreciated, and enable St. Luke's Hospital to continue to provide exceptional care, close to home.
